Background

Jeff Smyth is a founder and the President and CEO of Sapere Consulting, Inc. where he is responsible for leading Sapere’s business strategy, operation and development. He also serves on the Board of Web2Storage Corporation and Allevare Technologies Corporation. Mr. Smyth has 25 years of leadership experience in the operational improvement of dynamic Fortune 500 and Federal Government enterprises. Mr. Smyth has worked previously at Project Performance Corporation, CH2M HILL and Battelle Pacific Northwest Laboratory.

Professional Experience

Mr. Smyth works with clients in strategic engagements, particularly in the development and implementation of project management practices, decision engineering, and risk management.  Mr. Smyth’s consulting background has focused on improving efficiency of project management through introduction of lean management practices and planning techniques for high-risk and complex projects. He has directly managed projects that have delivered millions of dollars in cost savings or revenue increases as well as advised clients on business strategies to mitigate risk.

Mr. Smyth holds a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering and an M.S. in Soil and Water Engineering from Oregon State University.  He is registered as a Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering.  His core skill set includes: Project and Program Management; Policy and Regulatory Analysis; Business Process Improvement; Organizational Strategy; and Decision Engineering.
