Background

Tracy Yount leads Sapere’s Energy and Natural Resources sector where he is responsible for establishing and leading the implementation of the Sector’s business development strategy, developing new client relationships and managing the delivery of consulting services to existing clients. Mr. Yount has previously worked at Battelle Pacific Northwest Laboratory, Chelan Public Utility District Number 1, and Parsons Construction.

Professional Experience

Mr. Yount has over 20 years of experience in the energy sector and has held numerous executive and managerial positions with energy utilities since 1998.  Mr. Yount has developed and managed energy sector research and development projects from conceptualization through project completion; led interdisciplinary engineering and scientific project teams; developed strategic project direction; managed project scope, schedule and budget; and managed client relationships. Among his accomplishments, Mr. Yount has led the development and implementation of regulatory agency-approved R&D programs and led the permitting, design, construction, testing and startup of new power generation facilities. He has extensive experience building close working relationships with industry executives, state and federal elected officials, legislative staff and consultant networks to achieve strategic objectives.

Mr. Yount holds a B.S. from Washington State University and has completed leadership and management series from the University of Washington, the Chelan County PUD, and the Center for Creative Leadership in San Diego.  His core skill set includes: Project and Program Management; Decision Engineering; Policy and Regulatory Analysis; and Organizational Strategy.
